Meet David Wadsworth, the innovative mind behind Mount Washington Distillers. A former chemical engineer who retired in 2020, David swapped his engineering prowess for the craft of distilling. Rejecting a traditional retirement for a more spirited adventure, he founded Mount Washington Distillers in 2015. With no permit or land initially, David's journey began in his neighborhood, transforming friends and neighbors into enthusiastic taste testers. His vision materialized into a state-of-the-art distillery, home to New Hampshire's only four-column Continuous Alcohol Still, a 45-foot marvel producing exceptional Gins, Vodkas, and Whiskeys.

David's passion for spirits was ignited during his 30+ years of international travel as a chemical engineer. He saw an opportunity in the growing craft spirits market, particularly in New Hampshire, where the pure water of Lake Winnipesaukee became the foundation of his distilling endeavors. Under his guidance, Mount Washington Distillers not only crafts high-quality spirits but also champions local sourcing and sustainability.

Now, distributing in 27 state liquor stores, with plans for expansion and facility enhancements, David remains committed to the joy of the craft. His philosophy: if it's worth doing, it's worth doing perfectly, a mantra evident in every bottle from Mount Washington Distillers.
